PHOTO SESSION FEE

We charge a $30 photo shoot fee for photographers to have access to our 23-acre historic park with their clients. This grants access for up to 5 people plus the photographer.

An additional $10 for each person over 5 will be added to the photo shoot fee. Photo sessions with groups larger than 10 receive special pricing and must schedule the photo shoot in advance.

PHOTO SESSION HOURS

We offer photo sessions every week Tuesday – Sunday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. with no advanced scheduling necessary. Special requests for Monday photo sessions and after hours are available, but must be scheduled in advance and require an additional charge of $10 per hour after 4 p.m (No after-hours photo sessions on Sundays).

Unless a special event is taking place in the village, weekend after hour photo shoots (Friday & Saturday) cannot be accommodated.

However early morning photo shoots between 8 – 10 a.m. can be accommodated on the weekends but must be scheduled in advance and require an additional charge of $10 per hour before 10 a.m.

PHOTO SESSION UPGRADES 

The following upgrades are available for photo shoots and must be scheduled in advance. Rental of our Green Room complete with 2 showers, 2 large well lit make-up mirrors and a sitting area for guests is available for $50 for 2 hours. An additional fee of $15 per hour over 2 hours will be charged if the room is needed for longer.

For a total of $100 the Green Room rental will be upgraded with your choice of wine or champagne and fruit, vegetable or sandwich tray. All upgrades to the photo shoot must be scheduled in advance and the rental of the Green Room is subject to availability, no exceptions.

Before you proceed with your photo session we ask that you please read the following to make the most of your experience with us.

We close promptly at 4:00 pm. If your group is found in the village after hours without scheduling in advance, you will be charged an additional $10 and be asked to leave the property.

Absolutely no food or beverage is permitted in the village at any time.

Please do use our benches, front and back porches as well as any of the garden areas. If you do use our porches we recommend our back porches since they offer fewer distractions for your clients.

Failure to comply with any of these rules will result in being asked to leave without refund. Any photographer who breaks any rules will not be permitted to return for future photo shoots. By signing this document, both parties agree to terms and conditions. 

  • Do not block doors, entryways, sidewalks or pathways.
  • Do not move artifacts.
  • Do not sit in or on artifacts (i.e. boats, old chairs, beds). If in doubt ask a park employee.
  • Do not sit on fences.
  • Do not cross any chains or attempt to access areas that regular visitors aren’t permitted to access.
  • Do not lean on porch rails.
  • No sitting in, standing or walking through flowerbeds and plant beds.
  • If you are using tripods, please use only with rubber protectors on tripod feet. The floors in our buildings can be damaged by using tripods without a rubberized protector on tripod extensions.
  • Do not leave any personal items or hangers in bathrooms. Please have someone from your party return the items to your vehicle.

HOURS

Vermilionville is open six days a week, Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please keep in mind that we stop taking admission at 3:00 p.m. daily as it takes approximately an hour to an hour and thirty minutes to tour our historic village.

Our historic village is closed on Mondays and for major holidays including New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, Mardi Gras Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

ACCESSIBILITY

Vermilionville is completely handicap-accessible. Our attractions are outfitted with a wide ramp for wheelchair and walker access. If you require a wheelchair, please inquire in the gift shop and we will be happy to provide you with one to utilize during your visit.
