Come on in for Acadiana Brew Haha, an event that is all about the history and culture of beer and brewing in Louisiana! We’ve got so many great beers coming from right here at home, including several new breweries that have just opened in the past few years. Acadiana Brew Haha is designed to give you a taste of what’s brewing right here at home and meet some of the people that make the magic happen — even brews from our very own Vermilionville Brewhouse. We’ll hold the official ribbon cutting for the Brewhouse at 12 noon during the festivities.
Acadiana Brew Haha includes our region’s craft, micro, nano, and homebrewers, and you to see what’s on tap in Louisiana! This year, look for Bayou Teche Brewing, Gnarly Barley, Adopted Dog Brewery, and Agile Brewing as well as home brewers coming in from the Dead Yeast Society. Redstick Brewmasters and beyond! There will be demonstrations of both historical and modern methods. presentations, panels and more!
All ticket-holders will receive this year’s official souvenir mug, to handle your tastings all day! And of course, you’ll want to make your preferences known, so each guest will have a ticket to vote for the coveted People’s Choice award. The other, Acadiana Brew Haha 2024! will be determined by a panel of *very* auspicious judges!
There will also be a VIP “What Am I Tasting” Workshop, facilitated by Ryan Speyrer, the state’s only certified advanced Ciceron©. The sessions are at 11:00 and 1:00 in the cooking school. It’s like a wine-tasting class, but about beer. This workshop will be available only to VIP Ticketholders.
Of course, no Vermilionville event is without great food, supplied by La Cuisine de Maman, and great music, from Ask for Ashley!
Food to drink beer by sold in the Performance Center 10 AM – 3 PM includes: Hot Dogs, with or without Chili & Cheese; Nachos with Peppers or Loaded; Fried Catfish; Fries; Soft Pretzel Bites and Beignets.
