Your group has the choice of either a Guided or Self-Guided Tour. If you choose the guided tour option, the tour guide fee is $35 per guide and he/she will lead the group throughout the village. If you choose the self-guided tour option, you will be provided with village talking points prior to your visit and brochures with a map to help you navigate your way throughout the village upon arrival. Please note, if you wish to use tour guides they must be scheduled in advance and deposits are required. We are available anytime if you would like (or need) to make adjustments to your schedule or planned enhancements.

Events Calendar

Each group is limited to 25 warm bodies per group (including adults and students). This number is allowed due to fire marshal codes and to ensure the protection of our artifacts. If you are interested in planning a trip to see our historic village, please fill out the form below and our Tour Coordinator will contact you to customize your experience based on your budget and time frame.

*Please keep in mind that we may not be able to book your group on your preferred date if other schools are already on our calendar. However, we will work with you to find another suitable date.

Macroinvertebrate & Rain Garden Nature Walk activities can be added individually as part of a regular Vermilionville Tour Package. Or, they can be scheduled as a package focusing on our Environmental Science Educational activities. Click here if you would like to schedule an Environmental Science Field Trip.

TOUR EVALUATION

The Vermilionville Living History Museum and Folklife park provide a wonderful educational experience for children and young adults. Combining school field trips with the educational aspects provided in classroom create a sense of historical relevance. The benefits of combining the two provide students to place a visual up-close example of the lives of early Acadians as they settled in the region. We appreciate any and all feedback you can provide us to continue to offer a unique experience at our historic village. If you could please take a few minutes to fill out the form below we would greatly appreciate the feedback and we hope to see you again soon!
