Ring in the New Year with Geno Delafose and the French Rockin’ Boogie! Don’t miss the biggest party of the year at Vermilionville with delicious food, drinks, and dancing with Geno Delafose, New Year’s Eve at Vermilionville. Lobby opens at 8 p.m. Doors open at 8:30 p.m. with music from 9:30 PM - 12:30 AM. Food and beverage are available for purchase. Admission is $40 per person and includes a complimentary glass of champagne at midnight. All funds from this annual event will go towards programs that promote and preserve local cultures in Acadiana. NOTE: No outside food or beverages are allowed in the Performance Center. This includes water bottles, so be aware. Also, no large bags or backpacks, unless subjected to search by security. No smoking within 25 feet of the Performance Center. Smoking is allowed in designated areas, with clearly marked receptacles for cigarette butts.
Vermilionville's weekly Cajun Jam is led by some of the area’s finest musicians. The free jam is held in the Performance Center of Vermilionville Living Museum & Folklife Park and is open to all skill levels-beginner to professional. Admission is free but does not include entry to the park. Special thanks to the Cajun French Music Association for sponsoring our weekly jams! Come early and grab lunch at Vermilionville’s restaurant, La Cuisine de Maman. The restaurant is open every Saturday from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and features authentic Cajun and Creole cuisine.
