June's selection is "Accordions Rising", a documentary feature film about the resurgence of interest in accordion music over the last 30-40 years. Though many continue to see the accordion as the stodgy instrument of a bygone era – and accordion jokes abound — it is time to set the record straight! the Les Vues FREE Film Series for August presents "Our Spirits Don't Speak English", a documentary chronicling efforts by the U.S. Government to separate Native American children from their families and put them into "Indian Boarding Schools" to achieve 'cultural assimilation'.
