Geno Delafose is playing at Vermilionville as a part of T.R.A.I.L.'s Cycle Zydeco experience on Saturday, April 10th, 2021.  Come enjoy dinner from La Cuisine de Maman and music from Geno Delafose & the French Rockin’ Boogie. 6:30pm to 9pm. Creole Culture Day Celebration

The public can enjoy a FREE TWO-DAY FESTIVAL at Vermilionville for the 19th annual Creole Culture Celebration on Saturday, June 5 and Sunday, June 6 from 10AM-5PM.  Live music with Cedric Watson & Bijou Creole on Saturday and Corey Ledet on Sunday; cooking demonstrations; juré performances; storytelling; Creole language panel discussions; kids’ crafts; art, museum, and photography exhibits; Zydeco dance lessons; genealogy experts; traiteur garden tours; documentaries; The Knights of Peter Claver; and much more! On Saturday, September 4th, we'll be hosting music, speakers, panelists, community organizations, local beer crafters, French-style rum from Wildcat Brothers, and more!  We'll also have pentanque, great drinks, great conversations en français and the Vermilionville Jambalya Cookoff! ***** Venez à Vermilionville pour une célébration de la langue et de la culture françaises en Louisiane! French Festival: A Day En Français!

On Saturday, March 26 Vermilionville will host an all-day event that celebrates the French language and the vibrant cultures that speak it around the world.  Over the course of the day, guests will experience music in French, poetry and storytelling in French, games in French, French food and drinks, craft opportunities in French, French films, tours of the Vermilionville village in French, and more!  Admissions are discounted at $5 for adults, children 4 and under get in free. The event starts at 9am, so come on and start the day with coffee, fried bread, crêpes, and beignets En Français!  Vermilionville is partnering with organizations and vendors from the community to provide a truly French experience.  Pétanque Lafayette will be in attendance, and anyone of any skill level is invited to join in a game.  UL Lafayette Special Collections will also attend with examples of Francophone offerings from their holdings.  Nous Foundation, an independent platform for exchange between Louisiana and the French-speaking world will also be in attendance.  Vermilionville's Restaurant, La Cuisine de Maman will open at 11am, and French-speaking tables will receive a discount. Every year, Vermilionville celebrates the cultures of Acadiana that contributed so much to our unique folklife. Come to Vermilionville June 12 for our Creole Culture Day event!  On this day we recognize and honor our region’s Creole heritage. BVD’s Bayou Festival and Boat Parade

Save the date for one of the best days on the bayou all year 'round! Gather your friends, your canoe, your cooler, your fiddle, your best costumes, your dog, whatever, and get ready to join us for a day to celebrate the Bayou Vermilion! This is going to be a great time on the water, and we want you to come a be a part of it. The parade will set sail at 11:30 AM from the dock at Vermilionville, and wind all along the bayou to Southside Park. At the park, we'll have food and drinks, games, and music! More details to come. Want to paddle but have no boat? The BVD has got you covered. We've got canoes and kayaks available to help you get in the water and experience our own Bayou Vermilion!
