Acadian Culture Day 2024

The community is invited to join the Bayou Vermilion District’s Vermilionville to celebrate our annual Acadian Culture Day on Sunday, August 11th from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Join us for a family-friendly day of live music, great food, art, cooking, storytelling, spinning and weaving, arts and crafts, open hearth cooking and other demonstrations.
Here are some of the highlights you can expect:
• Spinning
• Quilting
• Dance Lessons
• The storytelling of Cajun music
• Basket weaving
• Grand Pre -video
• The Tintamarre Parade
• Cooking Demonstrations
• Local Artist Demonstrations
• The Acadian Cultural Preservation Award
• Live Cajun Music all day
