  • Creole Culture Day Celebration

    The public can enjoy a FREE TWO-DAY FESTIVAL at Vermilionville for the 19th annual Creole Culture Celebration on Saturday, June 5 and Sunday, June 6 from 10AM-5PM.  Live music with Cedric Watson & Bijou Creole on Saturday and Corey Ledet on Sunday; cooking demonstrations; juré performances; storytelling; Creole language panel discussions; kids’ crafts; art, museum, and photography exhibits; Zydeco dance lessons; genealogy experts; traiteur garden tours; documentaries; The Knights of Peter Claver; and much more! Every year, Vermilionville celebrates the cultures of Acadiana that contributed so much to our unique folklife.   • Dance All Day! Vermilionville’s Live Music and Brunch!

    Bayou Vermilion District & Vermilionville host a live concert series EVERY SUNDAY.  The concert series is held in Vermilionville’s Performance Center venue from 1-4 p.m.  Admission is $10 and includes a self-guided tour of the Vermilionville Living History museum. Come early and grab lunch at Vermilionville’s restaurant, La Cuisine de Maman.  The restaurant is open every Sunday from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and features authentic Cajun and Creole cuisine. On Sundays, the restaurant features an all-you-can-eat Sunday buffet. Sunday, July 11, 2021 featured band:  Donna Angelle and the Zydeco Posse!
