Bayou Vermilion District & Vermilionville host a live concert series EVERY SUNDAY.  The concert series is held in Vermilionville’s Performance Center venue from 1-4 p.m.  Admission is $10 and includes a self-guided tour of the Vermilionville Living History museum. Come early and grab lunch at Vermilionville’s restaurant, La Cuisine de Maman.  The restaurant is open every Sunday from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and features authentic Cajun and Creole cuisine. On Sundays, the restaurant features an all-you-can-eat Sunday buffet. Bayou Vermilion District’s Vermilionville Living History Museum and Folklife Park JOINS SMITHSONIAN MAGAZINE’S 17TH ANNUAL MUSEUM DAY Free Admission on September 18, 2021 with a downloadable Museum Day ticket Saturday, September 18th, 2021—Vermilionville Living History Museum and Folklife Park will open its doors free of charge to all Museum Day ticketholders on Saturday September 18, 2021 as part of Smithsonian magazine’s 17th annual Museum Day, a national celebration of boundless curiosity in which participating museums emulate the free admission policy at the Smithsonian Institution’s Washington DC-based museums. The annual event allows museums, zoos and cultural centers from all 50 states to emulate the spirit of the Smithsonian Institution’s Washington, D.C.-based facilities, which offer free admission every day. Vermilionville’s Painting Class Series: Painting with History!

Vermilionville invites you to come paint with us!  Anyone can participate in our new painting class series on Saturday, October 16th from 10 a.m.-12 p.m.  Registration is required and includes all art supplies as well as mimosas and strawberry infused water.  You also have the option to add a delicious lunch with bayou chicken caesar wrap, pasta salad, cookie, and lemonade. This class is Halloween-themed. You will learn to paint Vermilionville's oldest historic house, Maison Broussard.  Historical information and fun facts about the Maison Broussard and Halloween will be shared with the group as we paint.
