Book Talk and Signing Vermilionville is hosting author William Thibodeaux this Saturday, March 27th at 10am to speak about his book, "Historic Tales of Acadiana." This presentation is free and open to the public. William J. Thibodeaux is a native of Rayne, Louisiana. He attended Rayne High School and joined the U.S. Navy in 1967 at eighteen. Mr. Thibodeaux served on a World War II Fletcher Class destroyer—the USS O'Bannon DD-450 in the West Pacific. After his military obligation, William took a job with Southern Pacific Railroad in 1970 as a track laborer. He has held several supervisory positions, mostly roadmaster, on the Schriever District and—after the merger—at Union Pacific Railroad's Livonia Service Unit. He retired from the railroad after more than forty years of service. Mr. Thibodeaux currently resides in Lafayette with the love of his life - his wife, Judy and their dog, Baby Bear.

Les Vues Free Film Series: From Seed to Seed

Join us for our Les Vues Film Series held on the last Monday of each month starting at 6:30pm.  Curated by filmmakers and enthusiasts statewide, the films range from documentaries to features focusing on various aspects of culture.  Following the screenings, the guest curator conducts an open discussion with the audience.
