Les Vues, Vermilionville's free film series is back and better than ever. June's selection is "Accordions Rising", a documentary feature film about the resurgence of interest in accordion music over the last 30-40 years. Though many continue to see the accordion as the stodgy instrument of a bygone era – and accordion jokes abound — it is time to set the record straight! Les Vues — “Our Spirits Don’t Speak English”

the Les Vues FREE Film Series for August presents "Our Spirits Don't Speak English", a documentary chronicling efforts by the U.S. Government to separate Native American children from their families and put them into "Indian Boarding Schools" to achieve 'cultural assimilation'. Conversation after the film will be curated by Chief Sitting Bear of the Avogel.
